Horrible News

I was editing chapter seven of Year of the Wolf, and then I found out, the laptop I'd been working on has a virus on it. Soon as I can find the time to e-mail chapter two through six I'll post them. But seeing as I have such little time during school hours to do any kind of e-mailing, this may take a while.

Oh, thank you for the comment on the last chapter, Robert. I'm trying to post as soon as possible.

Chapter One...

Being the only daughter of the alpha male in a merciless pack is difficult. From the moment I could walk I was trained to fight, attack…and kill. To do whatever it takes to stay alive. My father and the elders of the pack trained me to value my life and my life only.

I was broken of my spirit, then re-created into the ultimate fighting machine. Torn and scared I pushed through the day, being as strong as I could be, for weakness meant death. A horribly long and painful death by the claws of those who you were raised with.

And yet, through out all of the training, I still, somehow, fell in love. Fell in love with another of my kind. His name was Bura, fur dark as a new moon night, eyes the color of pure gold. He stood tall and strong.

But father didn’t approve of him, and once he found out we had fallen in love, he ordered Bura’s death. Bura would die by the fangs and claws of those who I’d been trained with.

I stood there and watched helplessly as the wolves fell on Bura, dragging him to the ground, dragging him through the dirt and brush, staining the earth with his blood. As Bura lay there almost motionless, the pack left, lead by my father, who held his tail high in victory, the rain began to fall, and my loves last breaths were mine to witness. I promised Bura, in his last moments that I would gain revenge. That I would create the pack that we dreamed of. And finally, I would name my first son after him. Bura past with a grin on his blood stained face, as I talked about what I would do.

Once Bura was gone, I set off, without a goodbye to the wolves I once had called family, and headed north, in search of others like me, broken and scared. In search of a new life.

So this is chapter one in Year of the Wolf. Hope you enjoy.

And so the story begins...

Well hello to anyone who might have come across this little blog. I'm an author, so I'll post the book I'm trying to create on here. I'm hoping to have the book, Year of the Wolf, finished by the time I finish High School. Right now, I'm editing the first chapter, and as soon as I'm finished, I'll post it on here. I'll also post charactor ref's or links to the ref's soon. Occasionally, I'll post an entry from a part of the book in another charactors eyes. I hope you enjoy this, and thank you for reading.
